Florida Man April 15, 2019 – Death By Cassowary

Alachua, Florida: Cassowaries stand almost 6 feet tall and weigh up to 60 kilograms. On April 15, state wildlife officials said that one of these massive birds killed a Florida man that kept and bred these gigantic birds on a farm.

According to the report, 75-year-old Marvin Halos was in the vicinity of the birds when he fell off his tractor.

Next, he was attacked by this vast, flightless native bird of Australia and New Guinea, using its long claws.

“The cassowary can slice open any predator or potential threat with a single swift kick. Powerful legs help the cassowary run up to 31 miles per hour through the dense forest underbrush,” stated the San Diego Zoo’s website.

That’s why they are known as the most dangerous bird on earth. The dagger-like claw on each foot is as long as 10 centimeters.

A requirement of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for cassowary owners is to have substantial experience.

They have a specific cage requirement. This species is listed as a type of wildlife that can harm people.

The County sheriff said the death of Halos is being investigated.

The cassowary who attacked him is secured on private property at the moment.

Florida Man April 15, 2018 – Asked: “What Would Happen If I Steal Some Beers?” Before He Did it

San Sebastian, Florida – “What would happen if I steal some beers?” a Florida man asked when he entered a convenience store during the nightly alcohol ban.

Christopher Maxwell, 33, came to the store at 2:30 AM, when he couldn’t buy alcohol because the city has a liquor ban from 1:00 to 7:00 AM.

So he popped the question to the store clerk, and she said she would call 911 to report it.

Maxwell grabbed two packs of 18 beers in each hand and ran away. Then the store clerk did what she said and immediately reported it to the police.

Police found the guy with two packs of 18 beers and arrested him, but he resisted.

Maxwell was charged with petty theft and battery on a police officer.
